Yes, if you are a survivor of domestic and/or sexual violence, you can sue your abuser civilly for injuries and damages under tort law. Surviving family members can also sue for compensation in wrongful death claims for damages to include economic support and future lost wages.
Victims Justice Project, PLLC, represents survivors of domestic and sexual violence by filing civil lawsuits against perpetrators for monetary damages and injunctive relief. We also help navigate survivors through the civil litigation process with protection orders, civil dissolutions and parenting plans.
